Project Manager is the new BMW’s chief designer Adrian van Hoydonk, the idea of the whole team was to show the direction in which to develop models of the company in coming years. The construction of the Vision Efficient Dynamics is ultra thanks to composite materials used and dimensions of the car are 4 600 mm length, 1 900 mm width and 1 240 mm height. Doors open concept has space for four people. BMW Vision Efficient Dynamics uses a hybrid drive system consisting of a 1.5-liter turbo engine and two electric motors. The unit has an internal combustion engine with a power 163 h.p. and is still in test phase, it will debut in 2011 with new 1-Series.
The engine is combined with 7-stage transmission with double clutch. Total power of three 356 h.p. unit reaches a maximum level of torque – 800Nm. One electric motor is used to drive the front wheels and the other – for the rear.
