The new Mercedes A-Class
Saturday, July 23rd, 2011
The German company Mercedes decided to introduce us to the so-called Concept A-Class, which will debut in Shanghai this month and will serve as the basis for the next generation model of the same name. As we see from the pictures, the Mercedes designers have decided to radically change the silhouette of a compact model to make it closer to its main rivals Audi A3 and BMW 1-Series. This vision will definitely appeal to customers, the more it reflects the new design philosophy of the brand, which already have seen in CLS, although almost certainly not the production car looks so aggressive. The concept has only four seats in the interior, but the production model will have five, and probably will disappear and most of the futuristic elements. Mercedes Concept A-Class is equipped with a new 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine 210 h.p., combined with a gearbox with double clutch. The unit has a turbine and a system for direct fuel injection.
