Audi presented conceptual A8 Hybrid

After BMW and Mercedes have introduced hybrid versions of its luxury 7-Series models and S-Class, it is quite normal from Audi to do the same with its sedan A8, although slightly delayed. On the ongoing Geneva Motor Show, Audi showed conceptual A8 Hybrid, however, whose production version will appear in the European market until the end of 2011. Hybrid vehicle system consists of a 2.0 TFSI petrol engine with a power 211 h.p. and a maximum torque of 350Nm. and compact electric generating 45 h.p. and 211 Nm. When working together, the two units provide a combined capacity of 245 h.p. and 480 Nm of torque. Audi’s report that conceptual A8 Hybrid accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h for 7.6 sec and developed 235 km/h while its average fuel consumption is 6.2l/100km. and emitted CO2 emissions – 144 gr/km. The car can move in and fully electric mode for 2 km. At up to 65 km/h operate both units, where the speedometer passes this limit, the car is driven only by this internal combustion engine, a The motor serves to maintain the electronics.
