Late last week BMW decided to introduce us to the latest version of the sedan M3. It is called CRT, which stands for Carbon Racing Technology, as it will be produced only 67 copies, the price will start from 130,000 EUR in Germany. As is clear from its name, M3 CRT boasts a number of carbon components whose administration has reduced the weight of the car with 45 kg to 1580 kg, compared to the standard M3. The composite material made hood, roof, front lip, rear spoiler and seats. Carbon are also in the interior trim, and there are some new aluminum parts. The reduced weight due to a large extent the new titanium exhaust system, as a result of replacing some parts with light has changed the ratio by mass between the axles in favor of the back. BMW M3 CRT is equipped with the familiar 4.4-liter V8 from the M3 GTS, whose power is 444 h.p. and its maximum torque is 440 Nm at 3,750 rpm. The unit is combined with a seven-speed dual-clutch of M-Power, which, according to BMW, is a guarantee that the car accelerates from 0-100 km/h for 4.4 sec, which is with 0.5 sek Faster than usual M3. The car can reach top speed of 290 km/h.
