Hennessey presented his next exotic creature bearing the name Venom GT, which is the most powerful car in the history of the American company. The output will be produced only 10 units, 4 are already reserved. For donor Venom GT is used Lotus Elise, but the heart of the machine is further elaborated version of the 6.2-liter V8 engine of the Corvette ZR1. After the improvements in the unit, its power increased from 725 to objectives 1200k.s., but Hennessey and offer a version with 1000 h.p. To achieve such performance, American specialists have used larger turbochargers and are touched by serious electronics, but for smooth power deal with extreme care six-speed manual transmission with brand Ricardo. Hennessey Venom GT also has a fully adjustable suspension and active rear wing, which is positioned according to speed. Still no official information about the dynamic qualities of the model, but some issues with a version 200 h.p. may develop targets 440 km/h and accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h for 2.4 sec which, if true, means the car is the fastest in the world.

The British company Lotus introduced a special version of the Exige S, founded in honor of the legendary car from Formula1 – Type 72, which in the period 1970-75g won 20 victories in the championship. Lotus Exige S Type 72 weighs only 935 kilograms. and is equipped with standard four-cylinder model, 1.8-liter engine. This combination allows the car to accelerate from 0-100 km/h for 4.7 sec and develop 233 kilometers per hour, while average fuel consumption is 8.5l/100km run. The special edition boasts a Sport Pack as standard, including racing seats ProBax, adjustable safety roll bar, traction control and oil coolers. As an option is also available Performance Pack, which includes increased power to 240 h.p., brakes AP Racing, variable traction control, etc. Exige S Type 72 will be produced in limited series, for the moment, it is clear that 20 copies are destined for Britain, as many other countries in Europe and knows how the rest of the world.

Lotus have prepared a special version of the Exige, which will debut at the upcoming international exhibition in Tokyo. The car is called Scura and features a matte black compartment and lines in black metallic, passing along its entire length, and behind the two doors. Lotus Exige Scura has received additional oral and front air vents on the hood, modified air-boarders side, a new rear diffuser, massive tailgate spoiler and lightweight wheels in matte black, with high-performance tires wearing Yokohama A048 LTS. The interior of the Exige Scura also calibrated in dark colors, but here they are combined with a light, gear shift and decorations on the steering wheel, dashboard and doors. Center console and seats of cars are made of carbon, the latter are covered with suede. The black coupe rely on 1.8-liter engine for Toyota, whose power is 260 h.p. at 8 000 rev/min. but its maximum torque of 236 Nm achieved at 6 000 rev/min. Drive is transmitted to the rear wheels via six-speed manual transmission. Exige Scura weight is 22 kilograms. lower than the standard model, thanks to those used for the manufacture of certain parts of lightweight materials. The company claims the car accelerates from 0-100 km/h for 4.1 sec, 0-200 kilometers per hour for 9.9 sec and a top speed of 245 kilometers per hour At the same time, average fuel consumption is 8.5l/100km and emitted CO2 emissions – 199gr/km.

The British Automotive Engineer magazine issued a request to Lotus Designs to present their vision for a small city car. The designers of the manufacturer of sports cars are designed and respond electro-mobile, very reminiscent of a type and size Smart Fortwo.
