Like the AMG and the Mercedes M-Power for BMW, Infiniti brand introduces its line of sports cars that will be labeled as IPL, which stands for Infiniti Performace Line. The first model of the Infiniti, which is equipped with a package of IPL is coupe G37, in addition to new bumpers, side skirts and rear spoiler, it has received a number of technical improvements led to an increase in its dynamics and stability. The car is fitted a new exhaust system which has increased the power of the 3.7-liter V6 engine with 20 h.p. to 352 h.p. If you opt for a standard six-speed manual transmission, it has a shorter gears, while the optional seven-speed automatic remained unchanged. The dynamic characteristics of the Infiniti G37 IPL has not yet been revealed but it is clear that the car may also boasts limited slip differential, sport suspension and a modified steering. Originally IPL line will be available in the U.S. only, but later it will certainly be introduced in Europe. For when it is planned, however, does not specify.

Two years after market introduction of the second generation model FX, Infiniti launches its limited edition, which will be produced only 100 copies. Exclusive car will be available for modifications FX37S (320 h.p.) and FX50S (390 h.p.), respectively, equipped with V6 and V8 engines, and the colors, which will be available are black Black Obsidian “Scratch Guard” and Moonlight White White. Version has received a number of additional extras to the standard equipment that make it different from the serial model. Among them are smoked headlamps and 21-inch wheels with unique design, which together with the radiator grille, vent and roof rails are a special black coating. Limited interior of the Infiniti FX is decorative elements carbon, substituted by the standard maple wood and leather seats in Graphite, and upper door panels and dashboard are covered with Alcantara. In the standard equipment of both modifications are included multimedia kit consisting of a Bose audio system with 11 speakers, navigation guide to restaurants from the Michelin Guide, iPod connectivity and a 10GB hard drive.

Besides the redesigned G37, Infiniti introduced the exhibition in Los Angeles and the new M-generation. Although it was shown in August in Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance, now the model first debuted to a wide audience. The new Infiniti M has received radically altered vision, compared with its predecessor, and some of its features are inspired by the impressive concept Essence, which was presented at the exhibition in Geneva in March. Dimensions of the sedan are 4 945 mm length, 1 501 mm width and 1 844 mm height and the distance between the two axes is 2 900 mm. The interior of the car was in a sophisticated style, to create it are used innovative materials rather than Infiniti argue that their customers will feel at home. Infiniti M boasts an extremely rich equipment, which came from the fine leather upholstery, combined with silver powder treated with wooden decorations and special lighting “Fine Vision” gives a unique atmosphere evening. Propulsion of the model is transmitted to all four wheels through the 4WAS (4-Wheel Active Steering), and the location of the driver is a new development company, Infiniti Drive, allowing four driving modes – Standard, Eco, Sport and Snow.

Infiniti disseminate new pictures and details for the fifth model in its European range – G37 convertible. G37 Convertible, undoubtedly most seductive models of Infiniti so far, will go on sale in Europe in summer 2009. The roof of the G37 Convertible is a solid composed of three elements, and is designed so that the car looks equally well with the cast and with raised roof. In comparison with G37 Coup G37 Convertible is a completely different design from the front column A to the rear bumper. Convertible has reinforced structural elements, a wider rear track, modified rear suspension, special interior convertible with automatic rear roll bar. Will offer two types of audio, the standard is 6 speaker AM/FM/6CD with MP3 functionality, RDS system, located on the center console input for external devices and a central 7-inch full-color display. The second option is specifically designed for open cars, Infiniti Bose ® audio system with 13 speaker EQ settings that change with movement and lift the roof removed. The system has installed in the front seat head restraints PC speaker Bose ®, which provide high quality sound irrespective of the position of the roof. As in the G Sedan Coup and the dynamic performance of the G37 convertible is mostly due to the progressive FM platform and received numerous awards V6 engine.

During the 59th edition of the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance, held this weekend in Monterey (California), was presented the new generation of Infiniti M, by a special three-dimensional holographic presentation. In parallel, the Japanese company and distribute the first official pictures of the sedan from the middle class, which will initially be sold to 32 international markets and will face the leaders in this segment Audi A6, BMW 5-Series and Mercedes E-Class.
