After a long wait and numerous spy photos, Ferrari has finally spread first official photos and information about the heir to the F430, which has received the designation 458 Italia, but not as expected F450. The new super-car of Italians are embedding the latest technology and believe that because of this it will become the undisputed leader in this class. The design of the 458 Italia, as well as all other models of the company, was the work of Pininfarina, as they are tuning the aerodynamics in a tunnel, which tested a Ferrari for a bolid Formula1. In designing the vehicle suspension Ferrari engineers have applied the experience gained from the F430 Scuderia. In its development have been involved Michael Schumacher and experts from the company Alcoa, which has built a new factory close to that of Ferrari, namely to produce aluminum in the chassis for this and other models of luxury brand.
The heart of Italia Ferrari 458 is a 4.5-liter V8 engine which has the largest capacity among all known units of this size, namely 562 h.p. at 9 000 rev/min. 4498-cubic engine reaches maximum torque of 539Nm. at 6 000 rev/min as 80 percent of it is available at 3 250 rev/min. The units combined with the new sedemstepenna transmission with double clutch of Ferrari, as this combination allows Italia 458 accelerates from 0 to-100 kilometers / hr for 3.4sec and reaches maximum speed of 325 kilometers / hr, while CO2 emissions are emitted 320gr/km. Ferrari engineers are equipped with 458 Italia differential E-Diff, traction control system F1-Trac skid control, which, together with ABS-and controlled by a control unit. The car also received a completely new braking system, which approximates to the linings discs in lifting up the driver of the gas pedal. Because of this, at a speed of 100 kilometers / hr the car are needed only 32.5 meters to stop.
The official premiere of Italia Ferrari 458 will be held during the exhibition in Frankfurt in September, while sales of super-car will start a month later, the price will start from 170 000 euros.
