BMW officially presented by environmental X6 ActiveHybrid, which promises to lower fuel consumption and harmful emissions emitted which in electric mode are zero, compared with the standard model.   The car is equipped with 4.4-liter V8 engine from the modification X6 xDrive50i, whose power is 407 h.p. but thanks to two auxiliary electric motor (91 h.p. and 86 h.p.), working in synergy, in hybrid version it can reach 485 h.p. in different modes of operation. Provide additional electric motor 280Nm. to torque, which reaches 779Nm at hybrids. Interaction between the unit and three 7-stage automatic transmission allows BMW X6 ActiveHybrid can accelerate from 0-100 kilometers / hr for 5.6 sec. and the maximum speed is electronically limited to 208 kilometers / hr. In the same time average fuel consumption is 9.9l/100km. And emitted CO2 emissions – 231gr/km.
X6 Hybrid is able to move only electricity, but it has some limitations. Maximum speed should not exceed 60 kilometers / h and the maximum distance that can pass the car is only 2.6 kilometers. Then automatically include gasoline engines. X6 ActiveHybrid is equipped with NiMH battery, which is located below the luggage compartment of the car, which volume loading is the same as the standard X6. The official debut of the BMW X6 ActiveHybrid will be held during the exhibition in Frankfurt, which will be open to visitors from 17th to September 27th, and sales of the hybrid model will start at the end of the year.
